Having acted on behalf of Barratts London in respect of the
site acquisition of a residential development site in Downtown Road,
Rotherhithe, Wright & Partners were instructed by Barratts London to find a
purchaser for a 200 years leasehold investment of the relocated Doctors’
Surgery and Heathcentre which comprised the ground floor of one of the
residential blocks.
The instruction was complicated by the fact that whilst the
occupational lease was for a term of 35 years at a rent of circa £250,000 per
annum the tenant was to receive a 15 years rent free period. Despite this
complication a purchaser was identified at a price above expectations and the
sale was completed within an acceptable timescale.
