Acting on behalf of IIR Limited, the conference company subsidiary of Informa Group plc, Wright & Partners have agreed terms for new flexible leases on the third and part fourth floors of the newly refurbished Maple House totalling 25,000 sq ft.  

Victoria based IIR appointed Wright & Partners at the beginning of the year to identify a new head office which needed to be close to a Victoria line underground station between Kings Cross and Victoria. Maple House, owned by Lazari Investments, ideally satisfied the requirement due to its close proximity to Warren Street.  

Informa is a major international publishing and conference company with offices in 43 countries employing some 8,500 people.  It owns Lloyds List, one of the world’s oldest shipping journals.  

Andrew Marriott of Wright & Partners commented “This search and acquisition took less than six months from start to finish.  There was little available on the market and our client’s specific locational focus restricted the search parameters.  Furthermore, timing was paramount as IIR had to vacate their existing building by September.  A shortlist of 3 properties identified the relative merits of each and it readily became apparent that our client favoured Maple House. Terms were agreed and the leases completed within five weeks. Our clients were very pleased to have finalised the project in such a short time frame, this having been their wish from the outset”.
