Wright & Partners have a detailed knowledge of the development process and how to achieve the most profitable alternative use or uses for a site.  

In this connection, we introduced the availability of a three storey property, which was used as a light industrial/ theatre lighting premises, to a developer. The property’s potential related not only to its strategic location, just south of Waterloo Railway Station, but also in respect of the site’s suitability for a new hotel development.  

In the knowledge that towers were very much favoured in the area a planning application was made for a hotel over twelve storeys and comprising 212 rooms plus ancillary space. Following the approval by the planning authority of this application Wright & Partners identified an overseas hotel operator very keen to open a new hotel in central London.  

The site, with the appropriate consents, was sold, at a price three times the price paid by our client, to this party who have now developed out a highly successful and most attractive hotel
